Hedgesville, West Virginia – New Politics, a national bi-partisan organization that recruits and supports military veterans and national service leaders to run for public office today endorsed Aaron Scheinberg for Congress in West Virginia’s 2nd District. Following his service as a platoon leader in Iraq, Scheinberg helped lead The Mission Continues, a nonprofit that has helped thousands of veterans reintegrate back into their communities.
“Aaron is a dedicated servant leader who will always put his country, community, and the needs of his constituents over partisan politics, and that’s precisely why we need him in Congress,” said Emily Cherniack, Executive Director and Founder of New Politics.
Scheinberg was an early participant in the political leadership development program, Answering the Call, which is run by New Politics’ sister organization, New Politics Leadership Academy (NPA). NPA is a nonpartisan nonprofit that works with service veterans to explore whether they are called to continue their service to country in the political arena.
“Aaron has seen firsthand the everyday challenges which West Virginians face and Washington chooses to ignore. The only way to break the gridlock and end the toxic bickering in Congress is by disrupting the rigged system that sends the same career politicians to Washington. It’s time to send a new generation of leaders to Congress like Aaron who will serve with courage and integrity and always put others first.”
New Politics was founded in 2013 and works to transform our politics by helping promising national service alumni and military veterans run for public office. Learn more about New Politics at newpolitics.org, and meet other endorsed candidates here.
